About PokéMatch

PokéMatch is a fan-made tool designed to help you understand Pokémon type matchups in a way that actually sticks.

Instead of memorising long type charts, you'll find simple, visual answers like: Water puts out Fire. Bugs don't like Fire. Electricity zaps Flying types. All paired with icons and memory tips to make it easier to learn and remember.

I originally built PokéMatch to help myself. Playing through Scarlet and Violet, especially the Tera Raids, I realised just how tricky things can get. Some Pokémon have multiple types, some have Tera Types, and suddenly you're not just guessing - you're losing.

I needed a tool that let me instantly check type strengths and weaknesses, and understand why those matchups made sense. The first time I used PokéMatch during a 5-star Tera Raid against an Orthworm, it worked. I picked the right type and actually won.

Since then, it's become my mission: learn the matchups, win more raids, and stock up on enough Herba Mystica to make the best sandwiches in all of Paldea 🧢 🥪
